Public vs. Private VS. Flag Debate options
Being from a public school, I am supportive of the culture and education offered at public schools, but I am not overly passionate about supporting public schools over private schools, as I believe there is huge potential at either, and that it is solely up to the individual as to whether they want to succeed.
To me the flag debate is a much more topical debate at the moment, and is affecting and dividing the public in a unique way. Ideas of identity, history, national pride and cultural representation are being discussed, and the ways in which society perceives these issues.
Exploring the current flag, new flag options, and attitudes of the public, especially those around me (peers, family, etc.) and gauging their perspectives on the options will be a unique part of my research and poster design.
